I was so amazed when I went to my wife's apartment in princeton and downloaded lectures in literally a few seconds. I thought they must not have downloaded correctly because I was used to having to wait a minute or so minimum for each one in Philly.

West Philly needs a serious fiber optic upgrade.

Mine downloaded in a few seconds with both phillynet and comcast. weird.

When the Comcast connection actually works, it's fast. It just doesn't even connect half the time anymore.

ok so I got a resounding yes from Dr. Harrington who is the lead doctor from K-Laser. Here is the website where you can find one located near you http://www.k-laserusa.com/your-k-laser/find-a-local-provider/
Also, although there are other therapeutic lasers out there I would specifically go with the K-Laser b/c it is class 4 which is much stronger and the other ones are more than often class 3.

Apparently my bf's dad gave my bf a talking to about how foolish I was in choosing the tx plan I chose for my cat, because it is not going to work...

Um... Yeah... 3 yrs of vet school has taught me nothing apparently. Esp when it has to do with the gold standard tx plan for common cat ailments... Remind me when I'm in practice that none of my bf's family will ever be accepted as clients of mine.

just went to let inside the indoor/outdoor cat and instead the indoor only cat slips through and the dog rushes out after her. great. don't care about the dog with fenced yard she knows (thankfully this is back door into fenced yard and not out the front where nothing is fenced) and the cat stopped as soon as she hit grass and didn't care about the dog trotting right after her so could grab her, but ughhh, not cool animals. the shaking is starting to settle down a bit.

just spent the last 1.5 hours watching in horror as the small construction site/building/attached itty bitty home burned completely to the ground. the firefighter response was probably phenomenal for Grenada, but its pretty awful to know that more resources and supplies could have made things a lot better

just spent an hour waiting for a phone interview that never happened, probably because the volunteer coordinator at the place i'm trying to intern with mixed up my appointment. on top of that, the other internship i applied for says on its website that the results are posted, but i didn't get an acceptance or rejection email, and i've been emailing them about this confusion since last week. what the hell is going on? i have one more opportunity i'm waiting on, but all these internships start in about a month and a half, and i'm getting scared i'll have nothing to do.

SO I went to see a family friend about 3 ours from my place for easter weekend and had a friend watch my dogs and cats (he had done this many times before). I left 10 am Saturday and at 2 pm sunday I text him to see how everybody was doing and he texts me back that he "totally forgot" and got sick and slept in his car (which means he got drunk and slept in his car!!!). SO MY POOR FREAKING ANIMALS WERE STUCK IN THE HOUSE WITH NO FOOD WATER OR BATHROOM FOR ALMOST HOURS!!!! I was speeding back, (3 hours to go!) and trying to call him and text him with no response. So I call my friend balling my eyes out and she rushes over to my house Amazingly, there were no accidents, nothing chewed up and everything was fine. PHEW! Needless to say, I will never be asking him to take care of my babes again. And of course my husband is like, "I'm sure he feels bad about it..." YEA, well he better!! (he did keep texting me how sorry he was)

I just found out that the LA vet I shadowed for a couple years had to close his little practice with 1 other associate vet.

makes me sad and now gives me the chills of trying to make ends meet one day, it seemed like things were doing so well for them too.

Immunology test went bleh. Got very little sleep because I was behind studying from other exams and then woke up super nauseous from lack of sleep and probably caffeine intake although I didn't have nearly as much as I normally do when studying for exams. Have a neuro practical later this week, so I won't be getting much sleep the rest of the week either.

Got another crappy diagnosis today. I have congenital abnormalities in L1 and L2 at my articulate processes, with arthritis already set in. Also at high risk of vertebrae fracture and disc slip. Just put it on my tab. 🙄
Hope they're getting me that wheelchair surgery suite built somewhere 🙂

You can be in a nice, comfy chair and have hot man eye candy for vet techs to do all your manual labor. And yes, you have your man, but there's no harm in looking and enjoying.

Bf is definitely one of those guys who becomes completely helpless when he's sick. 🙄

I wouldn't mind taking care of him if it weren't for the fact that I'm moving out of my apartment in 5 days and I have a mountain of packing, cleaning, and organizing that's being neglected. And by the time moving day rolls around I'll probably be sick too.

Plus I was really hoping we could finally have the whole "what's going to happen to our relationship when I move/go to vet school" discussion today, which we've been putting off for over a month now. But it's kind of hard to talk about all that when bf has no voice. He chose a really inconvenient time to be sick.

It really is funny how guys become helpless when sick.

Whenever I am sick, I avoid people like the plague as to not get them sick and just sleep. If I need something, I think about it and see if it is truly worth it before I get it for myself.

I appreciate it everyone. At this point it's just getting comical so I'm not really upset. Or maybe it just hasn't sunk in yet. There's not much I can do besides strength training (which just leaves me at higher injury risk 🙄 ) so its just gonna motivate me to get back in shape 😀

I have this video series at home that's called Yoga Sculpt (I think) and it's Yoga with light weights to build strength. It's surprisingly hard!!

Mine is stoic about it all, but he rarely gets sick. For the longest time he was the WORST at taking care of me when I was sick, though. He was like a little kid that just didn't get that I wanted to just lie there and be miserable and not get tickled or prodded or whatever.

Yeah I've been a swimmer since high school so that's what I've always done as my workout. I injured my shoulder (from the other thing I was diagnosed with) and had to stop for a while. That's what I'm gonna start again to build some strength back up before I try Pilates or yoga.

Not to mention 2 other euthanasias, a seizing dog, a hit by car, and a cat who possibly needed a c-section (had 1 kitten) and then we went in and she didn't have anything left in her uterus that turned out to just be a spay.

On a side note about 1 kitten litters: We had 1 semi-feral stray at my parents' farm that had 3 litters(because we couldn't catch/trap her in time between litters to spay). Every litter she had only 1 kitten.

Hey!!! Me too! Articulate and transverse processes of the L1 and L2! I found out in middle school though. They scared me pretty bad back then: no trampolines, no skating, no horseback riding. Anything that has the potential for impact that could fracture my back. I got to a point where I was like F it though. I did low impact stuff to strengthen the muscles around there to take some of the wear and tear duty and now I do stuff like dead lifts to keep my back super strong.

I'm pretty sure I am having an issue with benadryl dependancy. I know it sounds crazy but I've been taking 50mgs of it almost every night due to allergies. It normally knocks me out. And now I'm laying here trying to sleep and I can't. Been this way for 3 days.

I think you might be right. I took the pm tablets, same stuff as Benadryl, diphenhydramine, for a while and I went through...like....withdrawals when I stopped taking it.

I have NEVER EVER EVER in my life been late to an exam I woke up this morning at 7:30 this morning for my exam that started at 7:30. 😱

I literally jumped out of bed through on some jeans and a bra grab a pencil and my formula sheet and run out the door, drove my car to campus. I normally take the bus which can take upwards of 30 minutes. Parked illegally in a reserved for this person space, and ran up three flights of stairs I got to the room at 7:55. Profusely apologize the professor he is like its okay calm down. Sit down and realize I dont have a calculator for a math exam, run to prof who manages to find a financial calculator for me to use. Took my exam first two questions I was like then after i calmed down i realized I knew them.

Turn my exam in before some people who got there on time and the professor ask me if I has substantial time to finish it and told me I could take more if i had to.😍

All of that and I got a ticket for parking illegally and passing through lovely do not cross after this time barrier. A minor battle wound in the scheme of things
