despite the ridiculous amount of rain the Yucatan has been experiencing forcing us to rearrange our schedule, so far I've swam with/PE'd/fed manatees and played with tons of baby sea turtles 😍 sooo cool! it was so much fun just snatching the cute little turtles out to examine them and then place them back!
 
Another busy day! Had a tasty breakfast, went to the Rijks museum, then a boat tour around Amaterdam's canals, then had lunch, then the Van Gough museum, then went through the Anne Frank house, and finally went to a place with Argentinian food for dinner. Tomorrow, Heineken brewery tour in the morning, then off to Brussels!
 
I passed 2nd year!!!!!! After all my health issues during finals time... I somehow pulled through to pass... so relieved.....

😀
 
Torque got his chomps cleaned today. He went full on derp in recovery. He's just the cutest. When he finally came around enough to realize I was right there he wagged his little nub feebly and tried (and failed) to give me kisses. He is the sweetest man ever.

we are indeed having an amazing time though - today's activities included swimming out and capturing a sea turtle, drawing blood from the sea turtle and cleaning his shell, touching and swimming with sharks and rays, and drawing blood from a sting ray. pretty darn cool!

we're holding our breath at the moment though because all of these storms in the gulf area have really messed up the ocean causing us to continue to cancel our whaleshark swimming trip. 🙁
 
So...I posted earlier about a spontaneous get away with my boyfriend to possibly Atlanta or the smoky mountains. Due to his grandma being moved to a senior care center (note:not the rave part) we decided to go visit her out near Philadelphia. From there we kept heading east to the beach in New Jersey! Had a great time there.

Stopped in Philly again on the way home and he proposed there! We're engaged 🙂 I'm so excited!

On my way to Paris for the first time!
 
went for a beautiful dive today on world oceans day! even though our boat lost us and we ended up drifting on the surface for almost an hour in rough waters before being rescued by another dive boat, it was a fantastic dive and we saw 5 sea turtles and a sting ray!
 
Beamer and I earned our Companion Dog (CD) title today with our last Novice A leg in Obedience! I am super excited (though it wasn't a pretty run). He apparently broke his 'sitter' today. But very proud of him! This is my first dog that I've trained to do trials and such. He got 4th place and a score of 179

Also, we earned our second leg for our Rally Advanced (RA) title in Rally Obedience. Again, not fantastic, but still we got a Q! We scored 85 and 1st place in our class (no one has to know that we were the only one in our class, right!? LOL)

Anyway, we go back tomorrow for another run through of Novice A and then we will (hopefully) finish our RA title 😀 😀

Beamer is now Crescent's Getting Lucky in the Burg CD RN CGC

I know it's exciting to be married, but it's just a label for the relationship you already have. Try not to get too bummed 🙂

Totally feeling this right now!! Me and the SO will be getting married in August right before school starts! Then planning on having a reception type party either next summer or the summer after.. Depending on the Army and school of course.


Oh and CONGRATS on the Acceptance Escalla and the engagement Stb !!!! Great news !!!!

Same here. haha I never wanted to get married and then my ex came along and I changed my mind and got engaged. After that disaster, I'm back to being "meh, that can wait. Forever if need be." :laugh:

One of the shelter's long term residents (he spent alot of time in foster, too) went up for adoption! He was adopted out at 10 weeks perfectly healthy, returned 3 months later like this. The previous owner seriously thought the dog wasnt that bad and said that it happened "in a few days." He also tried to say that they go jogging every night and that the reason he is so skinny is due to the jogging and that he hasnt been eating for the past day or two. Put a bowl infront of him and he devoured it. Hmm. Some people. Anyways, aside from a few face scars due to a terrible skin infection and open wounds from demodex, he looks amazing!

Beamer boy earned yet another title today- his Rally Advanced! He did great (though we NQ'd with our Novice A run in Obedience. We didn't need the leg, though, since we got our CD title yesterday).

What level and what event... and of course they differ in different organizations.. Just more lingo to sound cool to your peers.

Just finished the MS150 bike ride from Duluth to the Twin Cities today! It was a great event - despite the rain and wind and cold today! Bit sore, but I'm hoping to convince the SO to do it again next year 🙂
 
My dog is being a complete ham right now. 😍 Chasing her tail and playing with her rope toy. Throwing it in the air, slinging it across the room and then pouncing on it. Laying on her back looking at me upside down, with her mouth wide open. :laugh:

Finally signed up for the motorcycle course I've been wanting to do for years but kept putting off. Time to get back on the hog. 😀
 
Finished birthday shopping and crafting for my little man. Can't believe my (human) baby is almost a year old! 😀

Yay! I loved my scooter....lol. Top speed 35 mph down an incline. When I move out of the area I am in I would love to get a bike. What do you have?

'98 Harley Sportster. Inherited it from my dad. It's been a long time since I've ridden and I have very little riding experience to begin with, so I'm taking a basic course next week to get back into the swing of things. Hoping I'll be able to take the Intermediate and Advanced courses this summer as well so I'll be super comfortable on the road by the time the riding season is over!
