I almost feel "lucky" for having gotten post exposure vaccines a few years ago. I am having titers done soon though, just to be sure. Luckily that is covered by my current health insurance.
I knew I should have let one of the raccoons at the wildlife center bite me! 😉

My favorite 3rd year Internal Med (small animal) resident just signed a contract for a referral center in Las Vegas. She offered for me to stay with her if I wanted to come out for an externship! Now I'm rethinking one of my externships... Las Vegas in November sounds great.

There is no more true statement than this... I regularly have an eat ALL the things issue around exam times.

Which is why I am thankful for Insomnia Cookies and the my roommate in a different year who bakes a lot. Although the coffee part sticks around for me.

I tried insomnia cookies once and was really disappointed. Had a midnight craving, and it was most certainly NOT satisfied. I guess I have standards.

The shelter I used to volunteer at back home is letting me do cat neuters next week when I come to visit! Yay! Not a huge deal, but I've never done them so I'm excited. I'm sure she'd let me spay, too, but I'm currently sitting at 2 hours for a dog spay so probably not very efficient for their high volume clinic 😉

I'm going out of town with my boyfriend tomorrow through Sunday! Nowhere super exciting, but we're visiting my hometown since he's never been there, and it's been over three years since I've been back myself. It's weird to be going back as more of a tourist, none of my good friends from high school live there anymore. 🙁 (My parents and I moved after I graduated high school) But anyway, back to the raving. It's been months since I've been able to spend an entire day with my boyfriend, let alone an entire weekend. And I don't remember the last time I had three days off work in a row.

Man, today was fabulous. Cherry eye and entropion repair surgery labs, then a feeding tube wetlab that I got into at the very last minute. Some days vet school is awesome. 🙂

Finally found some Girl Scout cookies! Time to gain back the weight I've lost since graduation. No regrets.
i really don't get the whole girl scout cookie thing.

Buy freshly baked cookies from a bakery. Now THAT i could understand.

Girl scout cookies, eh...black and white cookies...oh man. I could eat those forever. It must be my Jew genes.

I can get bakery cookies all year round.

It's the short term availability of Girl Scouts that ropes me in every time.
Girl scout cookies are available at a better price (I think) year round. They are just sold by Keebler under a different name and packaging with all the other cookies in the grocery store.

Take THAT @cowgirla. You are the victim of re-packaging.

I actually do get the Keebler coconut ones. The thin mints taste better with Girl Scout packaging. so do the peanut butter ones. I have no shame.
Try back to nature fudge mint cookies and pb cookies. I don't like thin mints but my family says the back to nature ones are better than Girl Scouts.

I've started to clean house in preparation of moving and have listed a lot of stuff on eBay. I can't believe how much money I've made on stuff that I would have just thrown out!!! Yay for eBay [emoji2]

I saw a freaking great horned owl in my back yard last night! It was my first wild owl siting and a super cool owl too.
I saw my first wild owl (Barred Owl) walking to class junior year of undergrad! It was just sitting there, and I thought it was so cool and just stared at it...until people kept stopping and staring and I'm pretty sure some of them thought I was nuts!

I am dreading internal medicine. People discussing the hours makes me want to cry a little...or a lot.

Was it you, @dyachei that had bone-shaped paper clips? I liked those too.
yup.

i also have fun band-aids. If I'm gonna be hurt all the time, damn right I'm gonna have cartoons/superheros/etc on my band aids. Hubby picked the current box so we have vintage mickey band aids

An old co-worker of mine recently posted on Facebook that she stopped to get stamps and was asked if she had a preference on design. She said no, and they gave her a sheet of batman stamps. She was upset about it and vowed to always pick the hearts/flags or whatever in the future to avoid a horrible mistake like that again. I almost unfriended her. Clearly batman stamps are amazing!

I picked some up today. 4 rows of 4 batman through the ages and 4 bat signals from different eras that are also stamps. I may get more
Omg. I'm gonna get some and use them on my graduation announcements.

that would have been me with my jaw dropping. I would have offered to trade 😛

I regularly respond to Facebook posts with Power Rangers stickers. I would be beyond thrilled to have actual Batman stamps (though slightly disappointed that they were a DC character and not Marvel...). I'm either doing this whole adulting thing really wrong or really right.

I vote right.

I was disappointed as well. But only because my hubby has all things superman and I didnt see superman stamps. I love both

The random guy checking out in front of me at the cafeteria at work this morning paid for my coffee! It was a small, black coffee that cost less than a dollar, but I was in a rotten mood this morning, so I appreciated it. 🙂 Also found out I'm getting another small raise at my call center job. This time it's company-wide rather than performance-based, but I'll take it!

Just got back from a super fun veterinary service trip yesterday evening, got a glorious 10 hours of sleep last night, and getting excited that SAVMA Symposium starts tomorrow! It'll be so awesome to see everyone's hard work come to fruition (not to mention a bit of a relief for it all to be over), but I am getting kinda nervous and keeping my fingers crossed that all of my lectures will go smoothly...

Driving up there tomorrow! Very excited to be in Minnesota for the first time. 😀
