I can't find any! :arghh: I still have one more grocery store to check, so hopefully :xf:

I did buy some delicious salted caramel though, so all is not completely lost.

Oh no! I found it on sale at Safeway on an end cap freezer. I hope you find some! Salted caramel is delicious though :D

I started watching Westworld because @Trilt mentioned it several times in the last WW game thread...I'm hooked. I was going to start watching it about a month ago but didn't because I thought the premise was too strange, but I'm glad I finally started watching. Except now I'm going to have to keep subscribing to HBO Now so I can keep watching after my month trial is up.

Oh my gooodddd, and it just keeps getting better and better, seriously. Only one episode left in the season. :scared:

I tried it and couldn't get through the first episode. My brother insists it gets better. I might try again once finals are over...

So I recently opened up a savings account with my bank and I knew that it would continue to gather interest.

I just found out that over the last 3 months I've got $0.06 in interest. $0.02 a month. I'm basically rich now- I should just drop out.

I laughed so hard reading this. Thanks @cdoconn.

Called to schedule an appointment with a specialist. Actually was able to schedule an appointment for within the next 3 weeks. Completely surprised as I was expecting to have to wait months.

PS WHERE DID THE PIZZA GO?

It took me way too long to understand what you meant by that! I'm getting ready for the noob WW which is circus themed so I changed it to a red panda with a circus Afro.

Fear not, once the game is over I'll change it back to red panda with pizza!

Sorry it wasn't really clear. The pizza eating red panda is just so distinct!

Today we diagnosed liver flukes in a cat by finding eggs on a bile cytology. And yesterday we had a case of histoplasmosis in a rabbit that was circulating in peripheral blood. It's nice to be back in an area with all the infectious things.

We had a weird case where we found hepatozoon in liver aspirates of a cat. it was getting a work up for seizures. I don't think we found anything else wrong with it other than that. they even did an mri.

Drove out to REI's flagship store to get my dad a gift (and went to the far store because they were having a big tent sale on used gear). Scored two pairs of Superfeet insoles for insanely cheap. And the cashier changed the more expensive of the pairs (it was $15 versus the other one's $10) to be the same price as the cheaper one. So I've got two nice pairs of insoles for about half the price of what one new pair would cost.

I love how Doctor Who actors keep popping up in things when I least expect them.

I thought it was good. Not as good as the original seasons though

I feel like they tried to squish everything people loved about the original series into the four episodes, which made all the story lines seem sort of diluted. Still liked it though! Probably would have liked it more if I wasn't currently rewatching the original as well.

it made me really hate Rory though. Really? You're with a guy for 3 years and keep "forgetting" to break up with him? And are having an affair? With LOGAN of all people?! Who is engaged? And everyone else is okay with this?!?!?!

Agreed! I just found it annoying and in poor taste.

I agree. It was also just plain mean.

A second film by kirk (I need that shirt). So many things annoyed me about Rory. Just whine until you get what you want. Expect things to be handed to you even though you don't come with your own ideas, don't pitch well, don't prepare for interviews, look down on opportunities, etc. Blahhhh, rory. I miss Seasons 1-4 Rory. She is also so immature compared to how Lorelai was at 32. I thought the bad musical was funny, but it took up WAY too much screen time. We get that the songs were bad, you don't need to show us 20 of them. Show us a bad number, then the good number, then that's it. I wish Lane had more screen time. Jess was perfect. So was Paris. Also Luke/Lorelai's relationship bothers me, but it was getting better I guess. Come on people, just talk to each other and make decisions together. Emily is always great and I enjoyed her story line (minus the somewhat culturally insensitive maid's whole family living in her house storyline). I liked the Year overall, but it definitely was not as good as the originals. And I really disliked Rory this time around. lol.

Yup, I finished! My mom and I watched it together last night. She watched the entire series last winter, but I only joined her partway through and I never saw the last episodes. I will always love the private school years most.

Some of the writer-Rory stuffed bugged me. She was so entitled, and she was so under prepared for any of the big job meetings she went to. What the heck.

I loved Michel. He was always my favorite, but I missed Sookie (though there were probably a lot of scheduling conflicts to work out). The few minutes we had her for were too short, and Lane's part was also really minimal.

I think the Logan thing was pretty true to how their original relationship was structured, so while I didn't love it I didn't think it was out character for them.

Saying it felt diluted is the perfect way to describe it. The 4 episode seasonal approach sounded great in theory, but the execution could have been tighter.

Ugh. We spent so many years being told that Rory was this brilliant girl who was going to do things and then we come back to her not doing much of anything and being some entitled cheater. It was disappointing.

I loved when Emily put on jeans lol and the giant picture of Richard made me laugh

Exactly! She basically repeated the same untethered phase she went through when she left college and had her first relationship with Logan. She got her life together and graduated - and then went through it all again?

I guess a show about happy, mature people who communicate well isn't as much fun.

Last home game of undergrad ended in a W :highfive:
Such a fun season...I'm gonna miss my free student tickets tho

Occasionally I get recruited for mascot duty when the regular victims are unavailable.
Tomorrow I am not only just being a mascot, I'm being a mascot on ice!
I'm also looking forward to my mascot handler having to explain to the kids why the male mascot is wearing figure skates. ;)

I'm confused. Why does genitalia decide whether or not you wear figure skates? Are you supposed to wear hockey skates so cool moves are tougher? Or is it a color problem? Do you wear pink? :)

Little kids tend to make assumptions. :) Especially since when you go to skate rental you automatically get figure skates for girls and hockey skates for boys unless you specify. Or at least that has been the case every time I've ever gone.
I learned to skate in hockey skates but prefer figure skates if I haven't been on the ice in a while. When I entered in formal skating lessons years ago I actually was told they would prefer me to wear figure skates since most girls in the group wore them and it changed how they taught things. My father was a hockey player for close to 30 years and I'm not sure he has completely forgiven me for switching to the dark side ;)

I couldn't care less what skates people wear; I just think it is a little more conditioned for people to assume girls wear figure skates. Maybe things have changed since the days I was in lessons.

There's a difference? Last place I went to they just gave me skates...

Figure skate: Note the toe pick. If you catch that in the ice you are doing a faceplant.

Hockey skate: Note the much smoother edges. You can fall backwards much easier in these. I find them a lot more sensitive to any changes you make in your balance.

I grew up on hockey skates (dad grew up playing hockey in Chicago, can you blame him) and the last time I went skating, I wasn't paying attention and they gave me figure skates because 'it's company policy to not rent hockey skates to females'. I was bummed but forgot about the toe pick. I go to stop and hit that dang toe pick. I bit it. Hard. Haven't skated since that day, but still have nightmares about that toe pick.
