I'M HOME! I got a blank stare (and a kiss later) from my 17 year old cocker spaniel, Biscuit, a collapsing trachea-snort from my Chihuahua, Queso, and a-hand-in-the-face-to-push-me-away from my hamster, Peanut. Went to my boyfriend's house and his GSD attacked me (with love) and got me all wet because she just had a bath. I LOVE COMING HOME TO MY ANIMALS! 🙂😀

I just wanted to chime in and say that I completely love my life. 😍 2012 is my year. I've been accepted into 7 out of the 8 vet schools I applied to (I declined and interview so I wasn't even rejected). Also I have been nominated for a senior award at my university (this is a university with over 30,000 undergrads). I am a finalist for one of about 4 or 6 awards. Out of 150 students nominated they are only interviewing 12. I have also been nominated for my college senior award (it's only of the largest colleges on my campus) and because I was my department's nominee I am receiving their outstanding senior award (which was the only one I really wanted anyway). Also I'm getting married and will be starting my life in a new state and I can't wait. 😍

👍 it's super simple to make them look like that. i usually use an icing tip but i didnt have one OR icing bags so i used ziploc bags and cut the end off 🙂

I don't get how there are so many left-overs? they look amazing and I'm sure taste the same!

bc i only needed 48 but the 3 recipes all made at least 24 each

There is a new rotation with new students. Everyone is pretty nice, but there is one girl that will ignore my questions, offers to help or even refuses to move over a bit, so I can see the screen when we do ultrasounds and stuff like that. I always try to be polite, will make room for the actual vet students and try to be as helpful as possible.

I offered today to hold the tube for the gastroscopy, so she had an easier time to open the little packet with lube. She just looked at me funny and kinda turned away. I feel like a stupid lowly person next to her, just because I'm not a vet student yet.

It was great to see her face though, when the tech and vet asked me to help with cleaning the stomach wall and flushing it out afterwards. Just because I'm not a vet student, doesn't mean I'm stupid and don't get to do anything. 😀

And while she took the stuff while I was doing something else and tool over with all of that, it was still great to see her face when I was the one asked to do it in the beginning. 😀

this probably shouldnt be a rave, but i turned into a real veterinary student this weekend 😀 i caved and now know (and have a new addiction for) the wonders of caffeine while studying hehe. can't wait to try this out when class resumes to see if i stay awake in the morning now. yay productivity 😀

This is not recommended, but.. my ex bf would trash talk about me everywhere he went. To people that knew, people that don't know me, my bf (!) etc. Every once in a while he would make a comment to me, too. He was out drinking with my now bf and started it up again. Let me tell you.. don't trash talk about a Latin guy's gf! Just saying.. My ex bf's face did not look very happy the next day.. but it got him to stop and leave us alone.

He said he would handle it, and I believe him... we'll see 🙁

They're not good friends, and theyve actually become better friends since we broke up and I started talking to NewBF- 8 months ago! What also kills me is that him flippin his lid after finding out we were officially dating is completely ******ed, given that he's known we liked each other and were talking for a long time. Why didn't he come out with his ammo beforehand? Seems like that would've been the logical thing to do for a "friend" he cares so much about to warn him of my secret plan to lovedrug him with my Jezebellian witchcraft before he got his leg caught in that bear trap he's in now!

Yep, if you look in my post again, there have been several lol. Things have calmed down since I moved to NY, but now that I'm moving back to FL for school, I'm hoping I can keep my location private. The problem is that we have so many mutual "friends" because we went to highschool together. I says "friends" because not many people talk to him after the things he did, but we're from the same small hometown, so news spreads quickly 🙁.
Either way, I just wanted Libster to know she wasn't alone. I really hope your ex can leave your new relationship alone because I know my ex really took a toll on mine. We made it through though, and so can you. Just remember to stay supportive of your new bf because they can feel unimportant rather quickly from all this.

So my mastiff mix that we just adopted had his second cherry eye surgery today. 🙁 Poor guy. Anyway, my rave is that the vet (who is a complete old school guy from Cornell who holds the animals himself and will do any surgery you ask him to) didn't charge us for the surgery today. Then he told us that anytime something seems wrong with that eye, to bring him in, no charge, even if he has to keep repeating the surgery, it is free of cost since we paid for it once.
With his surgery, a complete annual, an abdominal X-ray (he eats everything ), another annual for my other dog, and an annual for my cat... the bill was $280....um I this man! Not to mention he is the ONLY vet that would touch his eye without sending me to a specialist 2 hours away or to Cornell. 👍
