That's great, flyhi! I'm thrilled things are working out for you after such a long journey!:soexcited::highfive::clap:

I'M HOME! I got a blank stare (and a kiss later) from my 17 year old cocker spaniel, Biscuit, a collapsing trachea-snort from my Chihuahua, Queso, and a-hand-in-the-face-to-push-me-away from my hamster, Peanut. Went to my boyfriend's house and his GSD attacked me (with love) and got me all wet because she just had a bath. I LOVE COMING HOME TO MY ANIMALS! 🙂😀

I got an iPhone 4S for an early birthday present from my parents!!!!!!!!!!! (this is my first smartphone ever)

I was so giddy when I activated Siri that she was like, "Do I make you laugh?" I'm obviously not cool enough to have an iPhone, but I dooooooooo!

Werked all day.... 6 hours and 4 dozen cupcakes later, we have cherry-almond, white russian (with baileys whip cream filling), and vanilla funfetti:

I don't get how there are so many left-overs? they look amazing and I'm sure taste the same!

I just wanted to chime in and say that I completely love my life. 😍 2012 is my year. I've been accepted into 7 out of the 8 vet schools I applied to (I declined and interview so I wasn't even rejected). Also I have been nominated for a senior award at my university (this is a university with over 30,000 undergrads). I am a finalist for one of about 4 or 6 awards. Out of 150 students nominated they are only interviewing 12. I have also been nominated for my college senior award (it's only of the largest colleges on my campus) and because I was my department's nominee I am receiving their outstanding senior award (which was the only one I really wanted anyway). Also I'm getting married and will be starting my life in a new state and I can't wait. 😍

👍 it's super simple to make them look like that. i usually use an icing tip but i didnt have one OR icing bags so i used ziploc bags and cut the end off 🙂

bc i only needed 48 but the 3 recipes all made at least 24 each

There is a new rotation with new students. Everyone is pretty nice, but there is one girl that will ignore my questions, offers to help or even refuses to move over a bit, so I can see the screen when we do ultrasounds and stuff like that. I always try to be polite, will make room for the actual vet students and try to be as helpful as possible.

I offered today to hold the tube for the gastroscopy, so she had an easier time to open the little packet with lube. She just looked at me funny and kinda turned away. I feel like a stupid lowly person next to her, just because I'm not a vet student yet.

It was great to see her face though, when the tech and vet asked me to help with cleaning the stomach wall and flushing it out afterwards. Just because I'm not a vet student, doesn't mean I'm stupid and don't get to do anything. 😀

And while she took the stuff while I was doing something else and tool over with all of that, it was still great to see her face when I was the one asked to do it in the beginning. 😀

good. that is the only acceptable reason--i can't see turning down such yummy looking cupcakes!

also, ziplock bags with end cut off? what a great idea. now i need to make cupcakes to try this!
 
this probably shouldnt be a rave, but i turned into a real veterinary student this weekend 😀 i caved and now know (and have a new addiction for) the wonders of caffeine while studying hehe. can't wait to try this out when class resumes to see if i stay awake in the morning now. yay productivity 😀

This is not recommended, but.. my ex bf would trash talk about me everywhere he went. To people that knew, people that don't know me, my bf (!) etc. Every once in a while he would make a comment to me, too. He was out drinking with my now bf and started it up again. Let me tell you.. don't trash talk about a Latin guy's gf! Just saying.. My ex bf's face did not look very happy the next day.. but it got him to stop and leave us alone.

Yea well apparently he messaged my now bf on this like group chat thing they have among their friends (who some are m y friends as well) and told him- for everyone to read- that I was going to screw him over and he was a fool for dating me and I was this and that. My now bf isn't that intense to get physical, because they are somewhat friends, but he def told him to f*ck off. I also told him today, after learning that this all went down amongst a group of people, that he (my bf) needs to seriously straighten him out and tell him to shut his gob, drop it and leave us the eff alone and stay out of our relationship which has nothing to do with him. He said he would handle it, and I believe him... we'll see 🙁

They're not good friends, and theyve actually become better friends since we broke up and I started talking to NewBF- 8 months ago! What also kills me is that him flippin his lid after finding out we were officially dating is completely ******ed, given that he's known we liked each other and were talking for a long time. Why didn't he come out with his ammo beforehand? Seems like that would've been the logical thing to do for a "friend" he cares so much about to warn him of my secret plan to lovedrug him with my Jezebellian witchcraft before he got his leg caught in that bear trap he's in now!
 
Some people are just jealous that someone can be happy with a person who they couldn't be happy with before. It's like they kids that are not interested in a toy anymore, but still don't want other kids to have it.

And I'm not saying you're a toy!!!

My rave today is that every time I see this, some type of liquid comes out of my nose (in a happy way). It is just *there* in the middle of the page and I laugh and snort like I've never seen it before. Getting old is fun. 🙄

My ex (FROM 5 YEARS AGO) STILL won't leave me alone. This is a guy I put in prison for things he did to ruin my life (many of you have heard about him before lol.)
I have blocked FOUR different Facebook accounts of his, and he just sent me a message on a FIFTH account the other day saying that he just wants to "make sure I'm happy"...
RATHER IRONIC COMING FROM THE ONLY PERSON THAT'S EVER MADE ME TRULY MISERABLE IN LIFE!!!! 😡😡 Anyway, weird creeper, ex bfs suck! I hope yours can get the hell out of your life soon. I changed my number twice, had restraining orders, and moved across the country mostly to get away from mine. BLEH! GO AWAY STUPID EX BFs!!!! 😡

Yep, if you look in my post again, there have been several lol. Things have calmed down since I moved to NY, but now that I'm moving back to FL for school, I'm hoping I can keep my location private. The problem is that we have so many mutual "friends" because we went to highschool together. I says "friends" because not many people talk to him after the things he did, but we're from the same small hometown, so news spreads quickly 🙁.
Either way, I just wanted Libster to know she wasn't alone. I really hope your ex can leave your new relationship alone because I know my ex really took a toll on mine. We made it through though, and so can you. Just remember to stay supportive of your new bf because they can feel unimportant rather quickly from all this.

Banana milk 😍

I talked to Field Services today and while there are barely ever any free seats in the truck, the vet told me that he will call me if there is ever any room for me. Super excited!

So my mastiff mix that we just adopted had his second cherry eye surgery today. 🙁 Poor guy. Anyway, my rave is that the vet (who is a complete old school guy from Cornell who holds the animals himself and will do any surgery you ask him to) didn't charge us for the surgery today. Then he told us that anytime something seems wrong with that eye, to bring him in, no charge, even if he has to keep repeating the surgery, it is free of cost since we paid for it once.
With his surgery, a complete annual, an abdominal X-ray (he eats everything :laugh:), another annual for my other dog, and an annual for my cat... the bill was $280....um I :biglove::biglove::biglove: this man! Not to mention he is the ONLY vet that would touch his eye without sending me to a specialist 2 hours away or to Cornell. 👍
 
My Plan B is firmly in place! I've just been accepted to the B.Ed program which doesn't require me to move away from my boyfriend and our dog!
 
I FINALLY get to see the bf tonight after six weeks of waiting :biglove::biglove:
AND we get to have all sorts of serious talks since I now know where I'm officially going for vet school :scared: but really I'm just excited to talk about a real, actual plan for once 🙂
