so about a month ago, my sweet, amazing, incredible 5-year-old dog was hit by a car and killed. i have been "off" since then, but i suppose it's getting better.
she was initially my brother and sister-in-law's dog but we're a already a tight knit family and in the process of the two of them having a kid/moving/etc. my mom sort of kidnapped her for herself/us, about two years ago...
anyway, she was a Black Russian Terrier (BRT), and the breed is somewhat rare... AND even though I am a huge proponent of adopting dogs from shelters/rescuing/etc., my sweet bear/monster won me over...
my mom is absolutely not ready for a new dog, but my brother and sister-in-law are considered getting themselves another BRT, that my mom can kind of help with, and i like the idea.
SO the
point of this endless story is that, unlike say, a lab (not knocking the labs, i had one growing up), BRT litters really are fewer and further between, BUT, by some serendipitous (/divine?) chance, a litter of BRT puppies was born the DAY my dog died... and there are 2 girls available.
anyone here believe in reincarnation? i'm starting to...
