RAVE HERE thread

I know this is a strange rave, but I am excited for this week. I get two class grades back, take 2 finals(= 2 more classes completed) and then I get to see my BF on Sunday. I am totally excited for this week. Bring it on! I think it's partially due to me reaching the "I don't give a crap about As" mentality already, and it feels much nicer this way 😀 And for some reason I sometimes like taking exams, whether it's the challenge of it or the fact it means that class is over, I like it for some reason :shrug:
Next week is a much needed break with my family and BF 😍
 
I was just looking through my schedule for the rest of the semester and realized that I only have one exam left (next Monday) before finals. Considering I've had 2-3 exams/week for the last month and a half, I am very pleased. And also confused as to how that's possible.

I'm excited for this week too ... but only because next week is a short week and I have a whopping 4 days off! 😀

This past weekend was a 4 dayer. It was fantastic. Even with two finals this week 😀

I know I've got a couple more days to wait, but I'm just so excited! Heading to Austin this Friday to meet up with my dad and go to the Formula 1 US Grand Prix! It's gonna be great! 😀
 
Bio presentation went better than expected. Got home earlier than I thought to get Ivy. Bus connections are literally working perfectly for me. Free lunch at a fair. Free lunch at a lunch talk about beef cattle. Ivy being great around a huge blow up kangaroo and balloons and a huge guy walked up to us to pet her and she was being great. Not nervous at all. Today is going much better than I thought it would. 🙂
 
Had an interview today about working in a research lab next semester. Their current projects are really interesting so I hope I get it. I feel like it went pretty well 🙂
 
House inspection today. There are some issues with it, but nothing that will keep us from buying the house. So looking forward to leaving apartment living.

Also, congrats on kicking my butt in WWF - I'm gonna blame it on the crap letters I keep getting, first and foremost. :meanie:

Yeah, going from my nicely sized house in the middle of farm land to an apartment was a bit of an adjustment. For my poor pups as well. I kept forgetting I had neighbors that could see me when I first moved in. Pretty sure they got a few peaks 😳

That's awesome! Yay! So exciting! My brother and his wife just found out they are having another girl. They have one of each so far, and he really wanted a boy because he says his heart can't handle another girl, lol.

I have one exam left. ONE!!! It has been the longest week ever and the person I've spoken to most in the last few days has been my cat, but OMG its gonna feel so good!!!!

Minor rave: fiancé asked what I wanted for my birthday/ Christmas/ graduation.. Since they are all in the same month he is combining my bday and Christmas, so today he ordered the most beautiful 4 piece luggage set for me 🙂 🙂 I'm sooo excited.. Either I'm moving to vet school in the fall, or to NY to be with him after this deployment. Yay Yay Yay 😀 😍

Graduation present is gonna be a surprise 😀

I actually get to spend Christmas with my family for the first time in 11 years!!! 😱
My mom and I have a tree decorating date with spiked homemade egg nog and plans to obnoxiously sing Sound of Music songs 😀. I am strangely excited about this :soexcited:
 
My school's dining hall had a Harry Potter themed dinner tonight. It was absolutely amazing. I drank pumpkin juice and ate a golden snitch truffle. 😀

That's so exciting! (It's my first Christmas without my family. 🙁 Well second because I left Christmas day one year to spend it with my now husband)

Jealous!

The husband just got a raise. Not much of one mind you (though he's a teacher so every little raise is a big deal). And this is after only a single quarter of teaching (it's his first year out). That like never happens. I'm so proud of him. 😍

Dec 13 my husband comes home from a 6 month deployment. Yay yay yay!!!!

When does your fiancé come home and where's he deployed to?

My husband is Navy and he's been in Spain, Israel, Germany, and the Netherlands since June. He was able to take 10 days of leave so I went to visit him in Spain in early October. It was so much fun! Best deployment ever.

my rave: 2 interview invites today!! and I got a gold star at work yesterday from our head vet because she was very excited for me that I successfully first stick drew blood from the jugular on two dogs! exciting!
