I suggest the following
You have 20 minutes per passage
Spend 5 or less reading
and 13-14 searching for answers
DO NOT MAP the passage on paper as kaplan suggests (it takes WAY too long and isn't needed for the DAT, now the MCAT is another story all together). Map the passage in your head!
Its important to read the passage so you will be able to answer GENERAL/GLOBAL questions. If you don't read it you will miss these and you will be nervous as hell searching for all answers.. Also reading gives you an idea of the general structure of it. Practice on getting FAST here. About 70% of the questions on the real DAT are nearly word for word (notice i said NEARLY aka synonyms). The other 30% are inference such as the author would most likely agree with __.
make sure to leave at least 1-2 minutes at the end to make sure every bubble is filled in as with all sections and remember the answers are in the passage
Good Luck
🙂
Another note if you ever encounter HEAVY details READ FASTER (yes thats right i said faster). Why? Guess what the details aren't going anywhere!
