Hi guys. I have a question you might laugh at, but please excuse my ignorance. I'm not sure how the AMCAS application process works for Canadians.

I'm thinking of applying to an American school, but as I was working through the AMCAS registration the system asked me to enter my state of residence. I'm not a resident of any state in the US, so I can't proceed any further. So, here's the crux of my dilemma: am I supposed to undergo a different application process? Am I considered an international student by all universities, or do some make an exception for Canadians?

Sorry... I created this thread in the wrong section.

Hi Ajay,

Do you go to UBC? I think I might know you 🙂 I know a guy at UBC whose name is Ajay and who wants to get into Meds too 🙂

Hi Dreamer,

Naw, I'm not at UBC. Central Canada here! But it's *almost* a small world huh. I am considering applying to UBC though. However, I imagine I'll wait until the MCAT scores are released and gauge my chances from there.

How did you find the MCAT? What schools are you applying to?

Actually, I do have some questions about UBC as well and would appreciate it very much if you could give me some insight. Can I drop you a PM?

sure, I would love to help out.

I'm not sure how I did on the MCAT really. I had form FG, the PS was real hard, but thye rest was fine I think. But you know how it is, no one can predict! 😉

I'll pm you very soon. I just have to head out for a bit now 🙂

take care
