I'm "pre-med" but slowly becoming more and more drawn to Dental School for various reasons. My question is, do dental schools count grades for re-taken classes like med schools do.

I stupidly blew off a semester and got 3 F's, but have since re-taken all classes and have a 4.0 as long as the F's are not counted in, but more like a 3.7 with them...not really sure if dental school is as competitive as med school, but I would assume so.

I'm a Junior if that matters.

Thanks

They'll see you retook them. But as far as your GPA is concerned, both the As and the Fs will be calculated into the GPA they look at.

It looks like you recovered nicely. Keep it up.

Both of the grades count in your GPA for medical and dental school. I think schools of osteopathic medicine just count the retake and forgive the original grade.
