"If you think you can, you might. If you think you can't, you wont."

(Forget the origin of the quote)

Good luck to all those drilling down for the nearing test dates. You can do it!

That's not always true. I didn't think I could get the score I got on the MCAT, but I got it. Just saying.

could've used rtc's quote yesterday when i was in a down'er mood (courtesy of Ochem) 😉

I love those days when FINALLY something that didn't make much sense yesterday DOES today! I could make a list of those topics that I had to work really hard to get 😉 and now I'll never forget them...just another small milestone on the way to...eventually...an MD.

My positive quote of the day:

"The happiest excitement in life is to be convinced that one is fighting for all one is worth on behalf of some clearly seen and deeply felt good."

- Ruth Benedict (1887-1948, American anthropologist)
(The Book of Positive Quotations, arr. James Cook (c) 1993. p. 17)

This thread is the reason so many pre-meds are reluctant to join this form. Test anxiety is like a contagious disease, especially when you're around people who freak out all the time. Boo. 👎

Wait, people are reluctant to join this forum because they might get some words of encouragement?

YAY for encouragement!

More ideas to lighten the mood:
To take a break from studying, go on a 5-minute jog down the street and back (if it's safe) to get your blood moving around! Maybe pluck a little flower from a nearby garden and put it in a cup of water by your desk. Let it keep you company and remind you that Spring is on its way!!

Did you know...
"You have brains in your head.
You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself
any direction you choose.

You're on your own.
And you know what you know.
And YOU are the one who'll decide where to go."
- Dr. Seuss, Oh the Places You'll Go! (c) 1990

Positive quote of the day:
"Nonsense wakes up the brain cells. And it helps develop a sense of humor, which is awfully important in this day and age. Humor has a tremendous place in this sordid world. It's more than just a matter of laughing. If you can see things out of whack, then you can see how things can be in whack."
-Wikiquote (http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Dr._Seuss) As quoted in "Author Isn't Just a Cat in the Hat" by Miles Corwin in The Los Angeles Times (27 November 1983); also in Dr. Seuss: American Icon (2004) by Philip Nel, p. 38
