Reading Comprehension Passage length

What's the actual length of the passage in real DAT reading comprehension.
One test on CDR had 22,16,15 paragraphs.
This is really worrying me,
I am only getting score like16,17.
Can anyone explain mapping technique?
I don't want to gamble upon search and destroy as it does not work for me on CDR.

My passages were 8-12 paragraphs long!
