My advice for those who consider themselves bad readers. I am a slow and ADD reader and it always takes me multiple reads to understand things in class. I practiced S&D on my topscore and that worked out well (average 21) but when I hit achiever, S&D failed me (average 16-17) due to the amount of tone/inference questions.

My advice would be a simple modification of the kaplan method. I quick read the article. Only focusing on the main point of each paragraph which I would note down in a 2-3 words. If a experimental method came up, that would be noted too. If a number came up, I wrote #. Kaplan told us to write down all key words and a sentence to sum up each paragraph....waste of time in my opinion. My focus was making a clean map and understanding the article rather than outlining it.

Good luck everyone

I like the system of writing "#" if there is a number that seems important. Haven't seen that technique before. And I agree that writing a full sentence for each paragraph is wayy too much, and you will certainly run out of time. One or two words will do. Very good advice!
