Airway- trachea midline/ tube properly placed
Bones- rib fractures
Cardiac outline- knob and window
Diaphragm- costophrenic and cardiophrenic angles
Everything else.

That's the mnemonic the medicine types like to use, to sound like they know what they are doing, but if you take the elective, the radiologists will tell you it's actually not the way a radiologist would look at a film.

Ha, this is exactly what the trauma guy said. He was teaching it in the context of a trauma case though.

Three major systematic approaches that seem to work for most med students:

(1) The "ABCDE" method
(2) The "start from the periphery, work towards the center" method
(3) The "start from the top, work towards the bottom" method

Personally I like (2).
