Just curious... if programs keep downloading files such as LORs that arrive late--after your application has been there a while--can I assume that there is still some sort of interest in me as a candidate? Because it seems that these files are not automatically downloaded; if they are not, and if the programs keep downloading them, I would deduce that there is still some interest, even if no interview has been offered. Your thoughts?

actually I think that things DO get automatically downloaded in some cases, even if they aren't that interested.
One of the surgery attendings on here (? winged scapula) mentioned that.

Programs download everything in their ERAS Post Office--there's no choice in the matter. But you don't have to assume lack of interest if you haven't heard anything. It takes time to sort through all the documents, and some programs (such as mine) won't give an official review until all of the elements of the application are in place. No need to worry yet.

Thank you for the responses.

As aPD has mentioned before...

Even if you get rejected by a program, they still might download your stuff

If we've rejected you, we MUST continue downloading your stuff. No choice, all new information on all candidates is updated every time we contact the ERAS post office.
