Hello there,

Disclosure: I am an upcoming male PGY-1 that was on the introverted side during med school. I was curious about everyone's experience in med school/residency/or even working physicians. When I think back to all the incidences where I have been put down, yelled or even screamed at, the perpetrators were always female. I can't help but wonder if it's our culture that lets females off the hook for acting that way whereas there would be more severe consequences if males did the same. For example, OR nurses, OB/GYN residents, and even some female attendings especially specialists.

There's just no way this thread is going to be anything resembling a rational discussion. Let me just post the cliffs notes version of this thread:

Poster 2: Lol no of course not

Poster 3: Lol no of course not

Poster 4: Actually, maybe the OP isn't totally crazy

Poster 2, 5, and 6: OP and Poster 4 are sexist

Poster 4 and 7: No YOU guys are sexist

Poster 8: Can't we all just get along?

@GoSpursGo : No we can't.
