Really Confused about Postbac GPA calculation

This website just confused me about what I know on GPA calculation.

I thought with the undergrad level postbac, your GPA will be factored into your old undergrad GPA. However, on SJSU postbac's website indicated that "Postbac is postgraduate work, so the undergraduate G.P.A. will be unchanged." Can anyone clarify?

Also, "if the undergraduate grades were not competitive, enrollment as a second baccalaureate student will permit improvement in overall G.P.A.." does that mean only 2nd bac can help your overall GPA and regular postbac can't?

SJSU is incorrect in their statement about postbac undergrad coursework not affecting undergrad GPA.

Med school GPA calculation rules are owned by the med school application services (and subsequently by med schools themselves). Official sources of GPA calc rules, therefore, would be AMCAS, AACOMAS or TMDSAS

Here is what the GPA calculation report looks like on AMCAS. Note that cumulative undergrad GPA includes postbac undergrad.

Incorrect - any undergrad work done after receiving an undergrad degree is postbac undergrad, averaged into cumulative undergrad GPA. (The sole exception is undergrad work required for a grad degree program, which counts as grad.)

If you want to do a good deed, forward this info to the SJSU premed folks. (SJSU is a generally great place to be, imho, but there's no way their premed advisers are paid well enough to cover all the bases.)

There are too many programs to generalize.

I suggest that the grade replacement protocol used by DO schools should be considered the exception, not the rule.

Its always best to assume that they use the most stringent grading policies for grade calculation purposes
