Hello guys,

I took the NBME Form 4 about 7 weeks out and scored a 213.
Today I took Form 2 (3 weeks out) and scored a 248. It is possible that
this is an accurate representation even though I have studied diligently
but still only 1-2 hours per day max. (I'm currently in the middle of my
12 week surgery rotation).
What I am asking is, can I expect a score closer to the current 248 (or higher),
or can i expect something in the 220-240 range? I have heard and Forms 2
and 4 are the most accurate.

Thanks!

I hope so for you! Good luck!!

Sorry for the slightly off topic post - but where do you all get these NBME practice tests? are they something that you have to buy? I've just been using USMLEWORLD. Just curious - thanks.

Just search NBME practice test in google and you will find it.
NBME puts it out and it is around $45 a pop.

Anyone had an NBME that significantly overpredicted their actual score?

wow, i heard that 4 is tough, and 2 is most like the exam. id say youre probably looking for something in the middle, maybe you just had a GREAT day.

Hopefully you'll see it on the real test day too!

I took form 2 two weeks before the real exam and got 231 and ended up with 236 on the real thing

Any utility in me taking another NBME before test day (July 3), or can
I just get away with taking the UW Self-Assesment like a week before?
If I took another NBME which would you guys recommend?

I think I will just not do the UW SA due to the several posts of it
underpredicting on here. I have a voucher for a free NBME that i was
going to take 1 week before my test. Would you folks recommend
Form 1 or 3?

i just took the exams and did nbme 4 and 2. id say the real test was a mixture of both. the more difficult questions were more like 4 and the "normal" ones were like 2, but neither of those tests prepared me for the lenght of questions on the real exam.

oh just peachy keen.
my problem with 4 was timing... and i thought the second block was the hardest.

Compare it with UWorld, USMLERx or Kaplan. Great job either way. Keep reading and doing questions. No real way of predicting score. You dont want to jinx the real exam
