  1. Pre-Dental
I'm currently going into my third year of undergrad and my first 2 years GPA was below a 3.0. I'm really planning on bringing it up this year (had a bunch of personal stuff going on in my first two years) and i just want to focus on doing really well. I scored a 19 AA in DAT, but I'm taking this summer off to study really hard for the November DAT. I don't know if I should take an extra year to take some extra courses to boost my GPA, or if I should think about doing a masters after I graduate (assuming I do well the next 2 years), maybe another degree, or any other options? I'm not really sure what I should do but my main goal is to go into Dentistry because I've been wanting to do that since I was very young, and I don't want to let go of my dream just yet. I just really need some advice.

I think you should see where your GPA (assuming you do well on the DAT) is at before graduating at before considering a post-bac or Masters.

I would get an A in every course I take from now on and I would definitely do my best to get a 23AA in November. I understand your passion for dentistry but at the end of the day, we applicants are nothing more than GPAs and DAT scores.

Don't worry about the grades you have right now and just do as well as you can until you graduate and reevaluate your options from there (apply straight away or post-bacc/master's).

You can also try to project your GPA with your current GPA, units completed, planned units, and target grades. If you need help with that pm me I can either calculate them for you or point you to the tools I have been using.

And of course, try to get a high DAT if you can. Good luck.

Could you also share the tools you've been using with me as well?
