Hi everyone,
I am worried about my pre-req grades. I still need to take Anatomy, Public Speaking, Statistics, and Econ and I am in the process of taking those. These are my pre-req grades (I took these at University of Virginia which is a pretty hard school)

Chem I: B
Chem I Lab : A-
Chem II: A-
Chem II Lab: B-
Orgo I : B-
Orgo I Lab: B-
Orgo II: C
Orgo II Lab: B-
Calculus: A-

I have taken other science courses that are more upper level and have gotten almost only A's in them. Should I retake anything?

The downward trend in your chemistry classes doesn't look good. At this rate you'll be getting D's your first year in pharmacy school. Have you take any upper level classes in chemistry?

I'd probably retake Organic II and strongly consider taking a biochem class to show that you're serious.

What did you get in Bio I and II?

I got a B's in both Bio I and Bio I Lab.
Bio II: B+
Bio II Lab: B-

I took one upper level Chemistry class and got an A in it and I took two upper level Biology classes and got A's in them as well. I am planning to get A's in the rest of my pre reqs.

These grades aren't so bad. I agree with the above poster that taking a biochem class might look good, and perhaps a human physiology course also after anatomy. If you could get A's and B's in anatomy, phys, and biochem, and if you keep your overall gpa in the 3.5 range, you would look pretty legit.

Thanks! I will probably take Biochem this upcoming fall along with physiology and Microbio. I hope to Ace all these courses. I am also working 40 hours a week at a public health consulting firm and also volunteering. I have a great number of EC activities from undergrad and have shadowed a pharmacist for 30 hours.
