Hey guys! So I’m probably going to have to reapply and am hoping to get some advice on a school list.

My Stats:
3.75 GPA, 34 MCAT (9, 10, 15)
350 hours paid work as a lab assistant
1500 Hours Research with a publication in PLOS, a couple posters and a scholarship
300 Hours as a volunteer teacher for a community culture program
50 hours as an undergrad peer mentor
100 hours clinical volunteering in a big hospital and 50+ hours in a free clinic (tryin to work on this before June)
1300 hours as an ER scribe
700 hours in a culture related EC
30 hours shadowing an ENT and 40 hours shadowing a primary doc

In my gap year I've added the free clinic work, the ER scribing, and the publication

Im a California Resident and I went to a top 10 public school

I see 9 schools you can call targets and have reasonable expectations for getting a II for on your new list. Not bad but there are some things I'd fine tune here

You really should look more into Northstate and their antics before wanting to include it on your list
Cooper is at about 4000 OOS matriculants for 20 spots no need to include it likely just a waste of time
Drexel and RFU are going to be quite low yield as a reapplicant
I would definitely find room to include both Arizona schools and UIC.
Quinnipac and Va Tech don't have favorable app/matriculant ratios and aren't high yield options if you want options to cut from. Unless something really draws you to them I would personally probably would lean towards swapping them for two of the following: Cincinnati Miami Wayne St Tufts. Note if you'll be a reapplicant at any of these give highest priority to the other schools

For your new schools you can delete Cooper and Stony Brook since they accept very few non residents with your stats. Otherwise apply to all the schools on your new schools list and consider adding these where you have a chance for an interview with your stats:
Tufts
Boston University
Vermont
New York Medical College
Temple
GW
Georgetown
Wake Forest
Loyola
Roseman (new school for 2017)
You need to apply to as many schools as possible due to your lack of success this past cycle but avoid all the reaches. You could still be accepted off the wait list in the next month but if you do not have an acceptance by mid June then reapply.

Thanks for advice guys! I was wondering if my chances would be different/lower if I applied as a re applicant which I would be if I applied to
Loyola
Gtown
Gw
NYMC
Temple
Wake forest
And Bu?

That's what I've been hearing occasionally

I would avoid most of the lower tier schools that get >80-90 apps/matriculant like NYMC, Drexel, Temple, Wake etc. They just probably wont be the schools most likely to interview you and 3.75/34 is at the higher end for some of them. Likewise, your odds are going to be best at schools you arent a reapplicant at to answer your other question.

Downstate btw is fine to keep.

Just kidding, I just checked and it seems they have changed to accept the old mcat too.

Ignore that
