Maybe I'm missing something but I can't seem to find the place on the AMCAS where you select whether or not you have applied to medical school before.

The only place I see this is at individual schools where you select whether or not you applied to that particular school before. So if I am applying to schools that I didn't apply to last year, am I not considered a reapplicant at that school?

Right, if you haven't applied to that school before then you're not a reapplicant to that school.
