hi all,

im planning on reapplying again. could i still use my old personal statement and application essays for the same schools i applied to last year? of course with some minor changes in content to update my status.. or will i have to rewrite everything..

Hmmm..... it's possible the personal statement was part of why you didn't get accepted. If so, why would you want to re-use it?

you can send in the same personal statement, but you have to change it a bit. last year, i used my old personal statement as a draft for reapplying. i ended up changing quite a lot. since you didn't get in with that personal statement, i would recommend that you work on it some more. perhaps you can have a friend read it over? constructive criticism is usually good and helpful in these situations. good luck!

im sure i didnt get in because of my gpa and pcat. not my personal statement. but yes i will make some changes of course. i was just asking if i could reuse it instead of starting from scratch. thanks though

I would start from scratch- maybe you could use some same ideas. I talked with an admissions counselor and he told me to completely scratch mine and start over. He said they like to see something new. True it could be because mine sucked- but I had a lot of people read it and critique it som I'm not sure. I would just make sure though that something is different.
