Hey guys so I guess I'm in kind of a dilemma. I recently e-mailed a professor I wanted to get a rec letter from. He said that he will be on some trips and can't meet with me until early July. This was going to be one of my two science letters and I killed his hard class. I believe he wrote my friend a good rec letter. I will be applying this cycle. I've heard that rec letters don't have to be submitted until you want to submit your secondaries. I will try to submit my primary the first day I can. Should I try to get a rec letter from him and wait until July or try to get another professor? Thanks guys. I will try go talking to him in person and see what he says. But what do you all think? Thanks again.

Get the reference letter regardless, you can also look for another professor as well. You can decide whether or not to assign the letters after you get the secondaries.
