Rec Letter Update Question

Hey guys I have a quick question:

I already have 4 rec letters that was sent to schools back in August, but one of my professors from this semester really wants to write me one for this cycle and has asked me if it was possible. I was going to call tomorrow, but wanted to ask if any of you guys know if this is possible.

Have you been accepted? If not, you could maybe save it for next cycle if you don't end up with an acceptance. That might be a good plan since you already have 4 letters.
