Need some advice- very recently switched from premed to pre-pt
Undergrad: Northwestern University
Major: Psychology/ Jazz Studies minor
Undergraduate GPA: 3.2
Science GPA: 2.89
GRE: Not taken yet
Extracurriculars: Jazz Band, competitive ballroom (team and exec board), sorority (exec board), science tutor, volunteer at nursing home
PT hours: none, officially, yet, although I have 3 opportunities set up for the winter/spring quarters, so I should be in the 100-200 hours range at the beginning of summer. I have 400+ hours of clinical experience ( I was premed before, so I was having tons of contact with patients, just not with PTs)
My weakest link is the science G.P.A. Much of this is due to the fact that I took organic chemistry and biology (the two hardest courses at Northwestern) at the same time. I spent so much time trying to pass orgo that bio fell to the wayside. I will be retaking part of bio this year.
Any thoughts on schools that I should apply to or what I should be doing to improve my application?
