Does anyone know if different types of smaller certifications can be transferred from state to state; certificates like domestic violence, sexual advocacy, etc?
Or does each state require you take theirs?

Example...getting your 40-hr DV training originally in one state and then moving to another, would you have to repeat the training in that state?

Thanks

Substance abuse certifications are usually reciprocal in states that offer the same credential. The IC&RC handles this. I'm not sure about other certifications.

What licensure are you looking at? The national counselor certification offers specialty certifications that follow you nationally, the Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (disability/vocational rehabilitation) designation is national, and I'm pretty sure the NASW offers social workers national specialty certifications that follow them around.
