Recommendation Letters - 2019 Application Cycle

Hi guys,

For the upcoming 2019 cycle in June, I want to make sure that I will have everything ready to E-submit by the first/second week. I plan on asking a professor that I took a course with last semester for a letter, but I am hesitant on waiting until March/April.

What are the general steps that you guys take with recommendation letters?
Is Interfolio often used so that letters can be uploaded onto Interfolio ahead of time, and requested to be sent to AADSAS when applications open?

Also, can I e-submit without recommendation letters uploaded, given that GPA, PSE, transcripts etc are all submitted. Will my letters just be forwarded to the schools as they come in?
