Hi,

I am looking for a basic advice on recommendation letters and the format. I plan to get my recommendation letters from my teachers in India and need to plan for that. Any help on different formats (bcos of multiple letters) and special wordings would be really really helpful. I would really appreciate your help and any guidance in this regard.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Aren't they supposed to write for you?

Yes, they are. But unfortunately it is not the case here 🙁...I need to come up with the format. Any suggestions?

Go to a browser and then write "recommendation letters"+samples or something like that for code words. There are a lot of sites out there.
You need to make sure that you write different things in all 3 letters for yourself. Stress on things that makes you unique. We all know that anyone who is going for reevaluation of their degree is hardworking and motivated.

yes but dont simply copy paste a sample LOR and change the name. come up with somethng original.... and do try to get some original LORs from faculty themselves, search and u'll def find some person who is willing to write a few lines fr u...

Recommendation letters are very imoprtant and at the same time they will not do lots of thing for you on this journey. BTW try to write something exclusive and original. you can find some of them online but most of the are overused. good luck

best thing is to meet the person who and give him your resume..tell him/her what are you applying for, what is the value of his/her letter and how it can help you earn few points in the throat cut competition.. they will understand it and hopefully be able to come up with some nice work..

do this..even when you are writing a draft..write a draft tell them the whole story and let them knw that how important their letter is..I am sure they will edit it while keeping all the things in mind and at the end you will have a decent reflection of yourself on the paper..

Good luck buddy 🙂
