Does getting a letter of recommendation from someone famous help one?s chances of getting into a top medical school? This person is also a member of the board of trustees of the school I am most interested in. He recently told me he would love to write a letter for me. He has personally known me for a couple of years, so the letter wouldn?t be bull****. Considering I?m a competitive applicant, but not a shoo-in, could this help tip the scale?
