Reconstituting ceftriaxone in retail setting?

The other day, we filled a prescription for ceftriaxone injection, but the label defaulted to say “mix.” Are these supposed to be reconstituted in the retail setting? I just told the patient to take the vial to the doctors office and have them mix and administer it.

Pretty sure doc's office should be mixing it because of stability and expirations.
