Recruits

Hi everyone...

Just wondering if anyone was ever recruited by a dental school. I was recruited by Howard, they sent me a letter telling me that my DAT's were competitive and that I should apply to their school. Has anyone else recieved any info like this in the mail?

Sorry, can't say so myself. I only drive a rusty old beat up truck and I only went to UCSD, can't contribute much.

No one recruited me, but I got a bunch of crap from LAW schools. Law schools send me junk daily, I think its because I am a minority and I took the LSAT, but I always get stuff stating why so and so has the best law school and why I need to go there. Univ of Missouri - KC even offered to pay for my accomadations and flight fare.

Marquette tried to recruit me, i think its from me marking minority on my DAT application and then scoring high..similar to SAT/college recruting.

UCSF tired to recruit me sending me a letter and school materials.

When I took the DAT I also took the OAT and actually did a lot better on the OAT. Berkley and some other school in Kentucky sent me letters and applications because they said I had competitive OAT scores. It was kind of flattering at the time, but I think it is also away of increasing there application numbers and getting more fees.
I actually got into dental school with no one recruiting and lower DAT scores.

GPA and DAT isn't everything.
