For the solution to one of the problems in Destroyer, it says that "Cu goes from 0 to +2; it is oxidized, thus it is called the reducing agent." But in Chad's outlines for his GC videos, it says that only compounds can be reducing or oxidizing agents, not elements. Which source is correct?

Thanks.
