Hi!
I plan on applying next cycle to begin in Fall 2015. I chose not to apply for this cycle because my MCAT score was atrocious and I need to retake.
According to my previous experience studying for the MCAT, I absolutely cannot study well during fall/spring semester during classes and work. I will need some free time to study the amount that I want to, and that's looking like it is only possible after I graduate Spring 2014.
That being said, I want to take 10 weeks to study using the Examkracker's home-study method. That puts me taking the MCAT mid-July, and receiving my scores mid August.
Would it be wise to submit my application as soon as I can (May/early June), and have my scores uploaded in August? I'm pushing for a 27-29 on my MCAT, and I feel confident I can achieve that with 10 weeks of studying (clarifying that it's not a matter of what I score).
I suppose I want to know if that will push me to the back for processing. I don't quite understand how it works. Will I still have an early applicant advantage? Will I be considered a late applicant without my scores until August?
Thanks,
