I asked this in a previous post, but didnt get a reply, so I thought I would pose this question again.
I go to med school in chicago, and am originally from california. California is my 1st choice region for obvious reasons, but the chicago-area would be 2nd. Is it important to do away rotations in the chicago region to show interest in that area, or does going to med school in that area show enough ties to the region? The reason I ask is because my school does not have a radiology program, so currently I have no rads-related rotations scheduled in chicago. The only possible rotation I am waiting on would be a nuc med 2 weeker. While I find nuc med somewhat interesting, is it necessary I do that rotation, if that is all I can get in Chicago for the reason mentioned above?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
