Registration name and name on ID are different - NEED Advice!

The name on my ID and the name on my MCAT registration are only different by one letter. My state license includes my middle initial but the name I included on my MCAT registration doesn't include my middle initial. I tried to change my information for the June 13th exam but I was unable to since that deadline has passed. Should I just go to my testing site tomorrow and see what they can do for me? Did I just totally screw myself?

Any advice would be great...this is last minute drama i shouldn't be dealing with right now before the test

When I read the title I thought you legally changed your name or something. Chill out, I highly doubt your middle initial will cause any problems.

ok fair enough claim...but i was just making the assumption since I received various emails saying that test sites wouldn't let students in unless their names were exactly the same on their IDs...im ready to rock the exam and I don't want to be delayed till August (since test dates for July are most likely full).

I have the same issue. My middle initial is on my license, but my SS card has the entire name, but my registration name on my confirmation email matches my license. I called my testing center and they said a letter vs. a middle name is "minor" and wouldn't be an issue. If i get there and they change their tune i'm gonna have a fit.

question: where can u find your official registration name? When i sign into my MCAT registration, i have an AMCAS registration name then a separate MCAT registration name....i'm assuming if the name on my confirmation email matches my license i'm good right?

You'll be fine. My driver's license includes my full middle name and my registration did not. I took the test May 31st without any trouble. Take another ID with you (like a school ID) if you are concerned. But it wasn't any problem for me. Good luck on your test! 😀

Yeah, just bring a second form of ID with your picture and that should help keep things on the up and up if there's a question.
