just got the wonderful news that both final decision letters were sent to me on monday. i can just see the adcoms talking to each other over the phone, "this guy really thought he could get into our schools, hahaha!"...
no cali love here

honestly tho, i wouldnt be too surprised about this; they know you got into ucsf, yes, they know, and know you will likely choose it over their school unless you wrote an in depth letter of intent to them or something; On the other hand, i have no ca interviews yet and they gave me the boot; i guess i suck more than i thought...

the status page changed today, saying "final decision letter sent." since i had no interview, it has to be rejection.

I don't think anybody received the actual rejection letter, yet. People are assuming that "a final decision letter sent" without an interview being requested is a rejection. 👎

I am kind of surprised by that too. I live like a mile away from the medical school and still no letter in the mail.

So many rejections, sorry guys. Just remember that this process is so so erratic. I just heard of two people with mediocre stats and ecs and out of state residency that had interviews last week. I'm expecting to be rejected soon.... my hopes are not up anymore.

Has anyone found out that they were granted an interview recently? Does that come by mail or email? And is the website updated before that info is sent out, or after?

i don't think so. i have a 3.95/35 and i'm on hold at uci where i'm currently attending. i don't think my overall application is that bad. i got rejected by ucla and ucd. interviewed at ucsf and got into ucsd. i was actually a little surprised that i got put on hold at uci. i expected at least an interview from them.
