I got this as an email and I thought it was pretty funny. What would happen if someone actually mailed something like this out.

Dear ADCOM,

Thank you for taking the time to review my
application. I have received your letter of rejection
for admissions to the class of 2010 and it has been
reviewed. After careful consideration, I have decided
that I cannot accept your rejection at this time.
Unfortunately, I have received an unusually high
number of qualified rejections this year, and I simply
cannot accept all of them. Please plan on my
attendance at your school next fall.

Sincerely,

 ... i'm gonna use that one

That's pretty funny....and I know funny! People call me funny looking all the time.

Oh My God!!! I love it! That made my day! It's nice to see that you can find humor in all of this! I certainly am not at that stage yet

Oh man, that is ONE very hilarious letter!!!!. It really cracks me up  Good one!!!

Dear UMchigan, you have something in the mail tomorrow.
I'll show you how impossible it is for you to reject me! 😎

lol... now what could the adcom possibly say to that?

This is the greatest thread. I am seriously going to send this email out to the schools that decided to use my application as a pee-pad for their dogs.

haha, did you seriously send it?? UofM didn't take me either. but...
I'm almost positive i'm going to hear an acceptance from UDM soon - as soon as i do I should send something like that out to some schools who didn't take me. haha

Just as soon as my school cashes my deposit, I'll send that letter to a certain school that jerked me around.

That's hilarious!

I think if an adcom saw this they would change their mind and accept you right away, just for having such a great sense of humor.

If i was on the adcom, i would accept the person because of their creativity!

If anyone decides to send this.........Let us know how it goes!

I'll let you, as well as everyone else here, know. The plan is to send it off sometime this week. Which school? Haven't narrowed it down yet. Highly dependant on my mood. PMS is at its highest this month. But I'm kinda leaning towards UNLV. They sent me a nice email with the subject title, REJECTION. :meanie:

I got that same email, I was pissed as hell at their complete disregard for professionalism, etc. How hard is it to create a better title? Oh well, its all the same in the end.

I was given the University of Maryland Rejection Without Interview email the other day...so I figured since I'm already going somewher eelse, why not have a little fun. I sent them an email telling them that after December first I already had chosen not to go to their school and that their admissions department was really slow in the whole process...then I ended it by thanking them for not actually even reviewing my app...though it was "officially" under review since September. Always the professional...

wow some schoos do things very unprofesional.....I dont get the whole email rejection!! I read some other posts about people just getting rejections over emails.. Actually one of the interviews that I was offered came as an email....ok no prb you know......But it was cc to about 10 other applicants!!! 😱 Talk about impersonal! and unprofessional

lol this made me laugh after crying a whole night and morning from UOP's rejection. thank you.

Wow... It does not get better than that

Let us know if they reject your letter of rejection to their letter of rejection 😀

I saw this on here before. It's my all-time favorite.

Dear Admissions Committee:

Having reviewed the many rejection letters I have received in the last few weeks, it is with great regret that I must inform you I am unable to accept your rejection at this time.

This year, after applying to a great many colleges and universities, I received an especially fine crop of rejection letters. Unfortunately, the number of rejections that I can accept is limited.

Each of my rejections was reviewed carefully and on an individual basis. Many factors were taken into account - the size of the institution, student-faculty ratio, location, reputation, costs and social atmosphere. I am certain that most colleges I applied to are more than qualified to reject me. I am also sure that some mistakes were made in turning away some of these rejections. I can only hope they were few in number.

I am aware of the keen disappointment my decision may bring. Throughout my deliberations, I have kept in mind the time and effort it may have taken for you to reach your decision to reject me. Keep in mind that at times it was necessary for me to reject even those letters of rejection that would normally have met my traditionally high standards.

I appreciate your having enough interest in me to reject my application. Let me take the opportunity to wish you well in what I am sure will be a successful academic year.

SEE YOU IN THE FALL!

Sincerely,
