Hi I've received this letter from NYU. It is depressing as they don't even say better luck for next cycle! My question is are you all receiving the same letter or is it individualized?

Mine says-
After a careful review of your application and credentials,I regret to inform you that we are unable to offer you a place in the DDS Advance Standing Program entering class at NYU Uni. of Dentistry for the fall of 2011.

I hope that you are able to put this decision in proper perspective.Thank you for your interest in NYU.I wish you the very best in your future academic pursuits.

Sincerely,
Anthony Palatta,DDS,MA.

just ignore it. every body got the same cheap letter.
and dont apply there next year to the same place, find some where else that they respect people more.
anyways it is 3 years and too much money. best wishes to you and to every body.

So as per your replies it is clear they sent at least 2 different kind of letters. Thank you all for your response.

I think we must make some exceptional changes in our profile if we are applying again to the same school. Schools like Upenn clearly stats that 🙁

I will share my experience of getting into NYU with you guys today. I used to show up regularly expressing my interest in NYU. sometimes they used to get irritated by my presence. But after that I started callin up. After 2 - 3 times of calling them up one of them said that he will make a special note saying that I am very interested. I almost gave up hope.. in fact I already spent 1500$ for CAAPID 2012 and applying in Columbia, UMN (they do not participate in CAAPID). After a few days I received a call from Mara saying I'm accepted.
Now why I received the call? I guess because time was running up for APDDS 2011 and since I am a permanent resident and have a good chance of receiving federal loans.. that makes me a "safe" candidate for them. I don't think your credentials matter much at the later stages of the cycle.
My reasons of telling you guys this is that I know how much pain you are going through.. in fact I have had my share of the same...but my friends hold your patience...and being pushy in this country pays!! so pls be desperate next time and push yourself to admissions committee in whatever school you want to join. I know this for sure that if you stick on to your DDS goals you WILL get there. !!!

hi, those of you who received the letters, were you waitlisted or interviewed?

Showing interest is Key..esp if u interviewed somewhere.
even if u dont get in the first time, it may help when u re-apply.

Dont lose heart guys. It will work out for everyone.

please any of the rejected persons from NYU mind sharing their status? I don't wanna waste my time with my 81 score on part I? Thank you.
