It's official: I've been rejected from BU. It seems that this year they had a high number of applications, but limited space so many qualified applicants (including yours truely) had to be rejected. My wife was kind enough to point out that I paid $70 for the hand-signed letter as I readied the shredder, so it now resides in my Death Row Folder awaiting execution, pending appeal. Took them long enough.
And now the dancing bananas:

Each year, the APA Education Directorate collects information from psychology departments and programs about openings available for the upcoming Fall semester. How is it possible (with all of the rejections that have been flying around and all of the waitlisting) for there to still be unfilled Ph.D. programs? Seems strange to me...
