I saw on the sticky for GRES, ACCEPTANCES, etc... that people are already getting accepted into schools.

I have yet to hear back from anywhere I applied, but I was just wondering. Do acceptances usually hear back before rejections? Do rejections take a while because they want to hold on to your application until they are certain no one better will apply?

The answer is usually, yes. Unless you have not completed required information (pre-req courses, GRE, and hours) in which you might get rejected outright.

I wouldn't worry about it. Just be patient. One day after Drexel recieved all my materials, on their website it said rejected. So that was a fast turn around but it took me about 2 weeks to get the official rejection in the mail. So sometimes rejections can be fast.

Well, let's put it this way..

If you hear about people getting interviews at a school you applied to, and you haven't gotten any thing in the mail, I'm afraid that's definitely a bad sign.

Most schools have rolling admissions and continue to pick and choose throughout their allotted interview dates. Some acceptees say yes and some say no. Some even say yes and later on say no (in favor of a school higher on their list). Because of this, I would rather have no news because that means you are still in the running for a spot.

I would contact the schools to make sure they have received your applications and to see how many interviews they are conducting.
