You quoted a post about ksmi (and not the OP) where BBender recommended her not following the advice of grabbing the guy's ass. I was the one who suggested the ass-grabbing, which was entirely sarcastic.

well ass grabbing is equivalent to the carpool lane of relationship highway. It'll help you get to where you want to go faster.

If you've been having a dry spell and need to feel the warmth of a woman, I say you let nature take its course. If not, just keep it in the pants.

I assume you are calling the ones who do not advocate the TA student relationship soft (correct me if I'm wrong). The fact is that there are a number of problems that could arise from this.

Here is some of my logic on the issue;

1) She has power over his grade. Maybe she ends up wanting a relationship after they "do the deed," which is not at all uncommon. Suppose the OP does not, which it sounds like he doesn't. Do you think she may be a bit bitter?

2) He says he is not even that attracted to her. Maybe if there was a serious attraction it would be worth the risk, but in this case it sound like the answer is no.

3) Regardless of whether or not there are problems between the two parties involved as far as relationship/hook up dynamics, there could also be problems from outside busy bodies, which there almost always are (busy bodies that is). Do you think the professor would be stoked if he/she caught wind of this? Pre-meds would never try to sabotage another pre-med with potentially embarrassing information..would they?

Nah...actually my comment wasn't in reference to the OP getting with the TA now, which I agree is a bad idea. If interested, he should wait til the semester is done, then go for it. I guess I was just musing to myself about some other posts by guys on here that I found kind of funny.
 
I was in this situation a couple years ago.. the TA was flirting with me now and then and one time asked me why she never saw me outside of class (aka take me to bed). Pretty sure it didn't hurt my grade but I doubt it really changed anything honestly. Just do it. You know you want to. And stop asking pre-meds if its ok to hook up with girls. And raise your standards.

This isn't just any girl. It's his TA and to do so would be stupid and unprofessional on both their parts.

Seems to me the only thing holding you back is the TA's 5/10 rating.
There is a quick fix for that. Alcohol-optics:

That was general frustration, by the way - nothing directed at you. If you want to count disabling the search feature to speed things up as progress, then yeah, quite a lot. 😛
 
You gotta consider the situation. The TA is a single grown woman going after a college kid in her class. She either wants to just hook up or she is crazy. It is much more likely that she is crazy and a crazy five is just not worth it.

Without a doubt do it. who cares and unless you're only action with unzipping jeans is with helicase you'll be able to play it off fine if need be.

Dude, how can you even ask this question. And how can you people give this confused person such awful advice. The girl is a '5' and you are considering making a move on her?!!!

Real men wouldn't settle for less than a 7, even when desperate. I don't even rank below a 7. When my friends ask me to rank a girl like that, I just say 'Below a 7'. They all know that means "No way, Jose".

Aside from the fact that sub-sevens are DISGUSTING people, it hurts your chance of getting with a attractive person. Imagine you saw some girl, even one above a seven, and then found out she slept with some loser. Would you want her? Not me.

And don't buy into that whole 'practice makes perfect' nonsense. The psychology of sub-sevens is completely different than the psychology of useful girls. It's like saying you are going to set up mousetraps because you want to practice hunting men (the most dangerous game of all).

The proper approach, assuming things are as clear as you make them, is to complain to the professor. It makes you seem like you have integrity, suggests you are desirable, and may improve your grade.

I can't tell if you're serious or not, but since I am the only one here who understands relationships and psychology at all, here's my advice.

You are having trouble attracting a guy. Therefore, you are unattractive. You need to start hitting the gym and get yourself in shape. It takes about 6 months before you see good results. If you start now, you will be attractive in time for the start of medical school, and will probably attract a doctor. Much better than some loser college kid right? So in conclusion, hit the gym. And don't forget to watch your diet!

I (female) was once in a class where i knew the TA had a thing for me, so I kinda flirted with him throughout the semester and we were supposed to meet up after the semester was over, but i conviniently left town the day before the meet up, which luckily was the same day grades were turned in.


In my defense i never actually told him i was into him, so i am not such a jerk. I just didn't discourage him.

disclaimer: i am not normally that type of girl. It was just an awkward position to be in, i didn't want to discourage him and have my grade suffer.

For girls with nice racks - show cleavage, wear tight shirts.

For girls with nice asses - wear tight pants, short shorts, etc.

For both - smile.

I'm not being intense, I'm just being real.

Now, nothing against ksmi, but facts are facts. If you are having trouble attracting someone, you are by definition unattractive.

And frankly, my advice of hitting the gym is good advice for everyone. Maybe you're not some overweight sub-seven creature. Fine - but couldn't you be a bit healthier? I certainly think so. Plus, if you are so sexually frustrated that you want some loser college kid (hey, I've been there!), the gym is a great way to release that pent-up frustration.

All I am saying is that a young woman in her mid twenties is mature enough to understand that a serious relationship with one of her students may lead to a conflict of interest and may not be a good idea. I am 22. Someone who is 25 is a grown woman to me.
