I don't understand how you would know if the course you took is "remedial"

For example, I took a course at a CC during highs chool named Reading Skills and I got "Cr" (credit)- will this be considered remedial? or is it NOT remedial since I got "credit" for it ? ("Cr" NOT letter grade)

what does it mean if its remedial?

Remedial classes are designed to build upon and supplement core curriculum classes if a student is advised that he/she needs extra preparation. In this case, even though you received credit for it, I would count your CC class as a remedial class. I'm under the assumption that it wasn't mandatory for all students in your high school to take it.

thanks for the info/clarification but i decided that i'm not going to list it as remedial because I was not advised to take it for extra help

thanks!
