In ugrad thursday was THE night, now its 2:40 am and I'm on SDN about to resume studying for histo/cell bio exam in morning...

sucks!!!!

I have exams on monday AND tuesday. No weekend off for me. wanna trade?

exam plus 2500-word essay due next week. no weekend off for me either. 👎

totally drained....

any med student here who's not a coffee addict?

thursday night was rarely fun for me. I rememeber myself studying just about everyday when I was sophomore and junior.

Sounds like you didn't do undergrad correctly. At least it prepared you well for med school. You cannot miss what you've never known.

Thursday was guaranteed the best night of the week!

You're right, not anymore though. Now I'm never out Thursday or Saturday, maybe I do like a random Friday here and there, but more often than not the week has kicked my ass to the point I can't even get myself excited for that.

But I definitely miss those U of I Thursday nights.

In law school, we usually didn't have class on Friday, so yeah, Thursday night was a good one. Thursday night wasn't a big partying night at my ugrad, though -- most people didn't have class on Wednesday, so Tuesday was the night.

 Im a post bac student because of exactly this reason.. I went to Towson and all nights except Monday were fun nights/ mornings. Looks like its time to get my act together!

I do recall that the Towson swim team referred to itself as "A drinking team with a swimming problem."

haha my friends and I liked to call Thursdays "celebrity Thursdays" cuz everyone knows your name.. kinda like Cheers

It is a part of going into medicine. We miss the bars on Thursdays, football games, and most of our favorite TV shows for this. We miss friends on their birthdays. We miss family gatherings.

Hate to break it to ya, but I went to the bar last night. Good times. 👍

amen. First two years should be a cake walk, live it up now, third year is when you gotta wake up early to get to the hospital..bye bye drinking on weekdays and some (most) weekends.

I miss thursdays. and saturdays, and fridays, and pretty much everyday of the week. they are all sort of blending together for me now

The last year has been one big party for me. Unfortunately that part of my life is dead now. It does no good to reminisce about how good the past was, unless you want to get depressed.

Yay primary care rotation!!!

Just had a month off and now in a rotation with Fri. mornings off, so have been going out every Thursday like the good old days (it's just too bad that I am 28, not 21 anymore, and "recovery" from a big night out now takes like 3 days😴 ). Fourth year is lovely though!

Hey I don't know about you all, but at our school bar tour is every Thursday night (bar tour = we all invade a local bar after our social chairs have graciously engineered cheap drink specials). It's usually pretty well-attended by MSI's and MSII's. I rarely go 'cause my husband gets tired of listening to med school stories and there's no point in going if I have to drive myself home 😉

yea, it doesn't change much either. On another note, I can't believe you weren't accepted to more schools with your stats; i'm truly shocked.

Thanks but what are you gonna do? I actually really like NY med so far, cool students, lots of distracting/fun things going on.

But chalk up another thurs night spent studying in Valhalla, NY
