Renal vs Hepatic Drug Elimination...

I have seen a few questions about renal vs hepatic elimination in which you kinda had to know the drug was renally or hepatically eliminated...
Did these questions pop up on the real thing for anyone? Does anyone have a trick/mnemonic if we do need to be memorizing a list or something? If so where is this list?

theres actually a list in the large Katzung textbook that lists what drugs are eliminated by renal, liver and both.

I always thouht that if it was water soluble then it would be eliminated by the kidneys if it was fat soluble or crossed the CNS it was eliminated by the liver.
