I have no job at the moment. I have to do my premeds and in this case I can only take one class untill the summer. I am 32 I have a wife and I have bills to pay. What can I do? Oh and I very scared about taking tests again. I was not a good test taker in college but I would like to be a doctor. What can I do?

How do people make money to eat?

I want to be a doctor to help people to work in a place were I am looked upon as someone that can help. My choice is that I want to become a doctor but can I? am I smart enough? I did horrible on my sat and GMATs. but as a caring person and I know I would be very happy as doctor and as a student(meaning I rather be a med student going for a goal than some stupid sales person)
Please respond people I need to hear some truth and reality. Alot of people have responded to my post I am going to make a decision soon.

My choice is go for medical school or take over my uncles refrigeration repair business which I hate and I have to go to school for.

I did go to NYU for undergrad and felt like it was a waste of money and time. I could never excel in getting a good position.
My friend who is now a surgeon asked me if I could make 100k in 5 years when I first thought of going to med school. 5 years have past and I couldn't do it.

HELP!
Thank You

hi
for the test prep, you can really pour your energy into some formal review courses like EK or tpr, kaplan, etc. I have found the MCATs to be slightly differnet than the sat and gre, in the sense that I found that i could prep much more for the mcats whereas for the sat/gre, i found that my prep (analogies, antonyms..don't know if they still have that) was not as helpful. you can defininteyl prep strong for the mcats and do well!!! while bad test taking on the sat and gmats might mean you have to put in a bit more than other students, a good score on the mcat is definiteyl possible with adaquete prep. do a search on this topic and you should find many suggestions/course book recommendations. good luck!

Thank you for you help
