Requesting second interview

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
You cannot get a second interview. It doesn't matter if you had dissimilar interests and/or personalities than an interviewer. You have to demonstrate an ability to get along with everyone no matter who they are, just like you do in medicine.

What school is even interviewing this late?

is there a way to request a second interview? My student straight up said they should’ve paired me with someone else bc they were involved in totally different interests than my own and then didnt really answer any of my questions. I asked a variety relating to research and community service and they said they didn’t know much about either and weren’t the right person to ask. This is the first interview that I’ve ever had this experience

would it look bad to email admissions and bring this up if this was the last interview date they had? I don’t want them to disqualify me as a result or look down on my interview experience
Nope. Not going to happen.

I wouldn’t stress about this especially at this stage in the game. Clicking with one’s interviewer may make for a more comfortable experience but that does not mean that you are more/less likely to get in. A student interviewer not having information about research or community service also doesn’t concern me.

Unless a school specifically states you can request a no-questions-asked second interview (e.g. Einstein), it won't be possible.
And yes, it would look bad if you email adcoms. They'll probably look at your post-II feedback with a more critical eye.
