It's that time of year again. Interview season.

I'm compiling a list of what should/should not be included on interviews, both for others' use, and for my blog at some point. Please, if you're adding, say why. Some of this stuff is speculation for me at this point, since the only interview I've had was in-state last year.

  • $50 cash or traveler's checks, plus coins for phone calls and other emergencies
  • basic toiletries, such as Tylenol, toothbrush, mouthwash, etc.
  • extra shirt, in case you ruin your current one
  • pad and pen/paper, with possible interview notes
  • layers, depending on weather
  • BLOODY UMBRELLA IN CASE IT RAINS
  • map, map, map so you don't get bloody lost
  • note/thank you cards with postage so you can drop it off on-campus mail if you have to, so that you won't forget
  • publications/CV/resume that you may have updated in case of changes

Add/remove as you wish! Simply QUOTE and

to add bullets to the list, or delete lines as necessary!

well I was going to bring my netbook, at the very least.

would you bring an extra shirt and a toothbrush to your interview?

you'd be surprised. my roommate was an student interviewer for his school. some crazy stories. people aren't that smart when it comes to common sense.

Just to let you guys know, to the interview as overall, not just to the interview itself...

  • FOOD. IN EVENT OF EMERGENCY, BREAK OPEN AND CONSUME. SOME PLACES ARE EXPENSIVE/SHADY.

You should probably only add bullets to the list if you're traveling through shady areas, like near Temple U or something! Otherwise, I don't know why you'd bring them.

Yeah, kidding.

Yeah, kidding.

Bullets are messy. See clean shirt. Instead, opt for a taser. Make sure to shout out "RIDE THAT BULL" when the taser contacts the shady person.

I was not aware that we need to bring a resume :scared:

Do most taxicabs accept credit cards? Or at least debit?
