I got a C- in Physics 2 but have already graduated a while ago from the university that I attended. Now that I decided to go the med school route, the C- is not accepted.
Because the university I went to is a Top 5 research university, they don't reaccept students as nondegree seekers so that they can retake just one course. At this university, physics 2 (PHY2054) is a 5 credit course (4 credits for the course and 1 credit for the lab) . At a smaller college in city I live in, they offer physics 2 (PHY2044) over the second half of summer, however this course is only 4 credits (3 credits for the course and 1 credit for the lab).
I spoke with an advisor at my old university and she said that since they are the same course number, it doesn't matter about the credit hours...but she told me to just "make sure" with DO school requirements. I've been trying to look everywhere but can't find if this is true!
If I retake a course that is the same course number but different credit hours, will it replace the previous grade?
